A Report on Ministry in Costa Rica
Pastor Erick Cordero has planted some 60 churches in Central America, and it's been a privilege to join several men from Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs to support Pastor Erick any way we can. That's what led me to Costa Rica, supporting Pastor Erick, strengthening pastors and churches from east to west coast.
Along the journey were my good friend Bob Jones, his son Kyle, and Pastor Erick Cordero, our host and interpreter. Together, we covered 850 miles and ministered literally from coast to coast.
In a nutshell, we led men's retreats at two separate churches, preached in several churches, and led a worship service for hard-working pastors who gathered at the Pastors Fellowship on Monday to be ministered to.
Most meaningful were vibrant, extended times of worship as well as all the one-to-one prayer times we had with men, women, and youth.
You'll find a host of pictures on this site, which do a much better job of telling the story than I can!
Thank you once again for your prayers for this very unique missions trip. Now pray with us about "next time" as well as "meanwhile," as Bob and I are convinced that the Lord has led us not merely to minister and move on but be a part of His ongoing work in this special part of the world . . .
